Have your say

In each issue we feature a topic that we think our readers would like to discuss. As 22 March 2010 is World Water Day we thought it would be a good time to talk about water.
Turn to page 9 of the current issue of The Newspaper and read about why water is such a big issue in so many parts of the world.
Did you know that over one billion people in the world do not have access to clean drinking water, or that over two and a half billion people do not have access to a proper toilet?
On page 9 you will find four examples of charities helping people to do something about this. How would you and your friends feel if you didn't have running water and flushing toilets in your house?
At the moment the government is having to cut back on what it spends. Many charities believe that governments should continue spending money so that everyone in the world can have clean, safe drinking water and proper toilets. What do you think?
