Torres moves for record fee

Dear Editor

I read the article 'Torres moves for record fee'. I'm a massive Liverpool fan so I enjoyed the article.

I was very disappointed seeing Torres in Chelsea kit, but seeing Suarez and Carroll in Liverpool red cheered me up.

Suarez has made a great start and I'm sure Carroll will do too.

I agree with everything Kenny Dalgleish said about 'no one individual is more important than the club'. I think Liverpool have definitely done well in the transfer window.

Ann the elephant rescued from the circus

Dear Editor

To begin with I am appalled and horrified that elephants are being used for enjoyment in a circus also that they are being hit and kicked by their trainers. I think that they should take all animals away from the circus if they have to be rescued like Ann the 57 year old elephant. Don't they know that animals have rights too. I am glad that Anne was the last circus elephant in the UK. We just need to make the whole world realise that the animals hate being trained to entertain you at the circus and they want to be able to do what they want.

I think that they should make big-enough enclosures at the zoos so they can run free where they want without getting let into the wild where they can get into fights with other types of animals. I think that in the wild they should make an enclosure which has room for them to run hundreds of miles to hunt or get their own food which can grow back or you can get back easily.

How would we like it if animals made us do things and kick us if we didn't? Would you like it if they tortured us and put us in tiny places to live?

Message in a bottle

Dear Editor

I have recently read the article 'Message in a bottle'. I think it is really interesting because a random boy wrote a message at 5 years old and told someone to write back! Also I think it's quite brave because they want to meet up with each other, even though they are strangers to each other. Also I'm surprised how the boy found the bottle and actually wrote back even though he didn't know him. It's inspired me to do it now because I can meet new people. That's if they write back!

The wrong statue appears on US postage stamp

Dear Editor

I was really intrigued by the article 'The wrong statue appears on US postage stamp'. The reason for this is because I have been to New York and Las Vegas and it is quite obvious that there is a difference. First of all the one in Las Vegas is half the size and the one in New York is darker because it's older.

Also how would we feel if our Queen Elizabeth wasn't printed on our stamps and coins and somebody else was on them, it would be quite an insult.

The Royal Wedding

Dear Editor

I really enjoyed reading your article about the Royal Wedding (Lego version). It really made me smile because nowadays in the news it's all bad news so it was really nice to see people were still celebrating the happy day.

I also like the article because I am a Lego fanatic and I have an infinite collection of Lego figures and bricks. I have built things out of Lego but I have never built anything so detailed and complex.

Sky presenters ruled off-side

Dear Editor

I am writing to comment on the text entitled 'sky presenters ruled off-side'. I find it ridiculous that Richard Keys and Andy Gray are still able to commentate after what they said about Sian Massey because when she is next touch judge they will be able to on talk-sport.

The Future of 3D

Dear Editor

I have just read the latest issue of The Newspaper. The article 'The future of 3D' got me really excited. The first ever 3D gaming console is the DS! You don't even need glasses! I already have a DS1 but this is definitely a must-have. I can't wait to be able to take 3D photos. I think this is a great step for Nintendo. I bet other companies will soon make 3D consoles but this is the first.
